Miss A. Edwards, Executive Headteacher

Friday 19th April 2024 Newsletter:

Our summer trips and visits have started this week with Year 3 attending the Lowry yesterday, where they made Picasso faces with stencils and cutting out, they sketched some Lowry pictures and practiced shading techniques. The children were really well behaved and represented FGA perfectly. We have also had the Florence Nightingale workshop in Y1 where the children saw artifacts and learnt more about why Florence Nightingale is famous.

Next week Y5 are visiting Ordsall Hall on Wednesday where they will learn all about the Tudors and Y4 have an ancient Maya workshop on the following Monday.

All trips and visits are paid via MCAS, you will find this on the trips section.

Please can we ask that all PE kits are in school daily. It is now the summer term so PE kit is burgundy shorts, white t-shirt and pumps or trainers. We have lots of fun opportunities over the term and children may not be able to participate if they do not have PE kits.

We have also noticed more and more parents bringing dogs to school, please can we remind you that the school site is a dog free zone, this includes carrying dogs.

Our attendance raffles will continue this term, remember, you must be in it to win it.

Thanks

Mrs Higginson
