22nd May 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following a meeting of The Dean Trust’s Board of Trustees, the decision has been made to begin the process of gradually reopening our schools in June.

In the meantime, there may be changes that affect this course of action. The government will be providing an update of their expectations by 28th May.

Assuming that the government and unions reach agreement in approach, your child’s Headteacher will contact you to provide greater detail about our phased reopening.

To support our planning, it would be beneficial to know the number of pupils intending to return before the summer from the following groups:
– Reception
– Year 1
– Year 6
– Year 10

Please note that our Year 12 students are already engaged in ‘face-to-face’ support.

Your child’s Headteacher will contact you next week to ask you about your intention. They will also provide you with a summary of actions we are taking to safeguard our pupils and staff to support you with your decision. Please can we ask for your support by responding with this information.

Kind regards,

Tarun Kapur CBE

Chief Executive
