Curriculum Statement

Our curriculum is simply, what the children will be taught. Our curriculum is not driven by assessments but with the aim of ensuring that all children have the knowledge, skills and cultural capital they need to succeed in life. Alongside our 3 primary schools, Forest Gate Academy staff have developed our own Dean Trust curriculum, which fulfils all national curriculum expectations and beyond. The curriculum, which starts in Nursery, is wide and varied allowing children to explore and learn in a safe and happy, vocabulary-rich environment. It is continuously refined and developed by leaders to suit the needs of our children. This has resulted in children knowing more and remembering more.
